Finished my Bride's Tree SAL Ornament

I finished my Bride's Tree Ornament for April. I added the word HOPE to it. It turned out OK. It is done on 18 count Fiddlers and is 3 inches by 3 inches. The chart was a freebie caller Checkerboard Bunny by Waxing Moon Designs. I still have to do Jan, Feb, and March, but I do have October's done! Not sure as to how I will finish them yet. I am think about doing the pillow finish with frayed edges. I kind of want to keep them country looking.

We had some very sever thunder storms last night with high winds, here in Ohio. The Ohio turnpike was shut down a few miles from here due to a huge electric tower that fell and the lines went across both sides of the pike. I shut down and pulled plugs on everything! We already lost several TVs, phones and a microwave to lightening! Ohio is now back to winter with a forecast of possible snow tomorrow! Ya gotta love OHIO weather if you live here!

Toe update: it is feeling much better. Still very sore but tolerable and will fit in a sandal. Here's to no more toe stubbing! My kids keep telling me that I have to quit doing that....now, I ask you, just how do you quit stubbing your toe? It's not like I do it on purpose???!!!! Good grief! Well have a wonderful day stitching. Huggers laurel

MY NEXT PROJECT???????......not sure yet!

A VERY good day!

Today my order from 123 stitch came! Yes...I went shopping and don't regret one minute of it. I am on a The Prairie Schooler kick. I love ornaments, so I bought four leaflets! Then I bought "Holly Angels" to make a Christmas stocking for Baylee. I also bought the "Snowflake Express" by Lizzie Kate to make Braylon Christmas stocking.

I finished all the burp cloths today....there is 19 of them. I also asked my daughter, Bethannie, if she is out near a Walmart to pick up some more flannel so I can make more. My niece, Stephanie, would like some. Another niece, Ashley, is having a baby in August, said she would like some and then my daughter, Jamie, is due in July will be getting some. Braylon's mommy, Brittany, said she would like to have a few more and the twins mom, Allison, would like some. Lordy we have babies everywhere! So I need to get busy!

I am also working on this small ornament from Waxing Moon (freebie). This is for the bride's Tree SAL. I was at the River Bend Stitchery last weekend and picked that one up, and I need to get it done so I can work on a few more ornaments and baby stuff! Have a great day! Ohio is expecting snow on Sunday! BRRRRR.... Gotta love OHIO!!! huggerz laurel

New DMC Colors!

This was taken this am. It really isn't as painful as it looks! Well, I say that now, in about an hour I will be trying to put on a shoe and go to an interview. Time for some Ibuprofen 800MG. Have a great day stitching. I think later I may put a picture on of what I have been working on for the Bride's Tree Sal. huggerz laurel

Baby burp cloths and broken toe..OUCH

Yesterday I cut up some flannel that I have had hanging around for baby burp cloths. I don't think any mom can ever have enough of these. My daughter is due to have a little girl in July. I ran out of yellow thread and almost ran out of pink and totally forgot to buy the lilac thread, so I will need to go to the store for more thread. Not sure when I will go out to the store, with the price of gas, I usually wait till I have a long list of things I need. I like going to Walmart, but, one Walmart I like has thread and material and no groceries and the other Walmart has groceries and no thread and material! They are in opposite directions. I think Walmart sure has put the screws to the craft er and sewer by not adding the threads and material to their Super Walmart. I may just go to K-Mart and Joann Fabrics!

Then...last night I stubbed my little toe on the bed riser! It is purple today and probably broken. Hurts like heck and will hurt more when I stuff it into my shoe! lol Oh well...no use in going to a doc...they don't do toes unless they are sticking out sideways! lol More pain! Just what I need.

I did start a small Waxing Moon chart last night for my Bride's Tree Ornament SAL. It is on 18 count Fiddlers and called Checkerboard Bunny. I hope to have that done by the weekend so I can start the ballerina chart. Have a wonderful day stitching. Hugs and stitches wrapped in prayers. Laurel

Computer crashed last night!

I am hopping mad! I spent last night and today re-installing all my programs and lost my pictures and freebies! I had some of them backed up on Cd's...but not the recent ones. I went to a blue Star meeting to pack soldier boxes and when I came home and turned the PC on...nothing...except a notice saying something happened to Windows and needed to repair it. So I repair it and ended up loosing my stuff! errrrrr. I am not in a very good mood to say the least. So...back to finding my programs to re-install! Have a wonderful day! huggerz laurel

Found a piece of fabric.....

I found this piece of fabric, it is called Aida shell and it is 16 count. Just enough to use for this chart. I put the floss on it and it looks like it will show up rather nicely. So I will start this project tonight or tomorrow. Huggs and stitching. Laurel

Feeling crappy today

I wonder when I will start to feel human again! The sun is out...and I am inside the house doing nothing. Laurel

Little League finish

I am now finished with "Little League"! This was a baseball WIP that I started last Monday when the Indians opened their season. It turned out just beautiful!!!!I will be doing 2 more in the very near future. This chart is by Country Cottage Needleworks. Next up will be "Ballerina" by Country Cottage Needleworks. I need to order a frame, actually 3 frames for the baseball pieces and then 3 frames for the ballerina pieces. Have a great night stitching....I am going to watch the night news and head to bed!
OH YES......THE CLEVELAND INDIANS HAD A WIN TODAY! FINALLY!!!!!

Princess Pillows are finished!

Finally a sunny day ..and a day that I finished the pillows! I am excited to finally get them sewn together. I thought it would be warmer outside and I would be able to sit on the porch...but, it isn't, so I decided to finish these. The chart was a freebie from cyberstitchers. Now back to baseball stitching! have a wonderful day stitching. huggerz laurel

Just a few more stitches!

I am really excited about this baseball piece! It is just so darned cute, and I need to make 2 more! I am going to start the ballerina chart next. I haven't picked out the fabric for the ballerina chart as of yet. I think it may be what they call "lambswool" color. Just look at those crescent color threads...they are really springy looking! I haven't picked out the fabric yet. I think a trip to one of my favorite shops is starting to develop...HEY TONI...what do you think? Are you up to it?
It is just beautiful out this morning. I hope the day is warm...if it is I may sit on the porch in the sun and warm up these old bones. I just can't get enough of the color "sun". I don't like to tan...but I sure do like feeling the warmth of the rays! Have a wonderful BLESSED day. huggerz laurel
