Lots of progress on Stocking!

<---------I made a lot of progress on my stocking last night! Bethannie's friend, Jennifer came over last night to do some crocheting. She is doing a great job on her scarf. I thought she was coming over so I could show her how to end off and start the fringe, but, she just kept crocheting so it would be longer! She says once she gets started, it is addicting!!
I sure know what she means by addiction! JUST ONE MORE STITCH!
She is doing a wonderful job for her first time crochet project!
Anyway, it was a girls night and Jennifer painted Morgan's finger and toe nails and we watched the ball game and Olympics. And I...of course...stitched!!!! Morgan and I went to bed at midnight! I can tell you this...I am tired this morning! It's a good tired....a good thing! have a great day stitching laurel

Friday already? Stocking WIP

This morning was a busy morning. I got a call from my niece Allison. She was at my mom's trying to draw blood for some blood work she needed done, and could not get it done. She wanted to see if I could run her to the doctors office to have it done for her. Allison needed to get Ashlyn's kindergarten shots done this apt and was going to be late for the appointment. So I ran out and picked mom up and all the way to the doctors office she complained about doctors and medicine! lol Gotta love her! So with that done, I came home and finished up dishes and now I should put my closet back together. Not sure about doing the closet cause there is some serious stitching needed to get done! I did pick out fabric to go with the finished Christmas stockings this morning, now I just gotta get them put together. Here is an update on the stocking. I hope to get it done this weekend cause I found my Cleveland Browns chart and want to get it done for my son. have a great day stitching. Huggerz and stitching laurel

Thunder and lightening! Christmas stocking WIP

I was awakened by a lot of thunder this morning! That probably isn't strange...but the sun was shinning in all the windows...so where the heck was the storm? It didn't take long before it was pouring...that storm came off the lake and moved through real quick and out pops the sun again. What a morning! So I decided to start my stitching early. But not as early as Toni...she's been getting up to stitch on her Christmas stockings at 7:30AM! Here is a picture of how far I got yesterday. Not too much done...but...I do have an excuse. Jayson and Morgan came at 4PM. Well that's not a good excuse..so here is the real reason...we watched Beethoven again and then watched Beethoven 2. These movies were made in 1991 and after. The kids love them and I haven't seen the movie for 15 years! So...I did stitch but just not as much. These movies are VHS movies and I am surprised that they still work. Well I am off to do some stitching. Christmas is not too far away and I have a lot of Christmas ornaments to get stitched and finished, and oh my goodness, time is just flying as I write. I feel like the rabbit in Alice in Wonderland...I'm late! LOL huggerz and stitches laurel

A little bit of stitching and a lot of playing...

I started another Christmas Stocking last night and got this far. I guess playing volleyball with a balloon with Jayson kept me from getting a little more done? I mean come on...a girl's gotta play sometime, don't we? Well anyway I played last night and I think I was told by Jayson (and he knows the kids rules) I lost! This morning I took him down to the park to play and I did get a few stitches done (not too many...but every stitch counts!). Then I returned him to his moms...after a kids meal from Micky D's. The kids will return later. Curt got a ticket and has to go to court. He got a ticket for having dark car windows...which by the way was on the car when they bought it 2 years ago. He took it all off and took a picture of it, so I hope he doesn't have to pay much. I think he should have been given a warning. The thing is...they weren't that dark and you could see in the car. They must have passed some law about it...just have no clue as to when. So...the kids will come here. Not much stitching will get done....that is for sure! Have a great day stitching! huggerz laurel

A Fishing Finish

I started this yesterday and finished the H today. I have been trying to find the charms for this and have had NO LUCK! I am so teed off I could scream. Does anyone know where I can find charms for this? I would love to track some down. I was given the chart and my grandson Jayson wanted me to do this for him...he also wants me to stitch some fish.....I don't know if I can do the fish....it is hard to stitch something so green and slimy, so I did the Hinzeit for him. Now all I need is to put charms on it...which I can not find! Anyway I am going to start another Angel Stocking today to take my mind off this great debacle. Have a great day stitching huggerz laurel

LOOK WHAT I FOUND AT A GARAGE SALE!

When I was at Toni's house we went to her daughter-in-laws garage sale and look what I found!!!!!More snowmen to spend my time with! lol Anyone that knows me.....knows my weakness is snowmen. I have always said that a SNOWMAN is the perfect man, usually gone (melted) the next day! I love to stitch snowmen too. I also found a little sweater for Kaidyn to wear this winter...and it has a cute little snowman on it! The 2 snowmen in the middle will sit on a shelf . Have a great day stitching! huggerz laurel

Layed back day

After last nights thunderstorm...today has been kind of quiet. I had Jayson and Morgan overnight and we watched the movie "Little Vampire" during the storm! Went to bed around 10:30 PM. I was sure hoping that the choice of movie didn't keep them awake all night. When we got up this AM we watched it again! After that movie we watched "Alice in Wonderland" and the after lunch "Beethoven". It got colder out and then we got a bit of rain. After the kids left, I finished charting out Kelsey's stats to stitch on the baby sampler. Now that is completed I just need to frame the sampler. I have worked a bit on the Steelers blanket and will work a bit on the Christmas Tree Skirt. It has been one of those days.....nice and slow. Have a great day stitching. huggerz laurel
