Down south for the weekend......

When I got off work yesterday, Bethannie and I drove down to Kaidyn's. We are going to celebrate her 4Th birthday tomorrow. Where does the time fly too? We didn't get there till 9pm. Boy were we tired! Kaidyn was supposed to get her pictures taken today, but, Braylon happened to fall with a toy in his hand and it hit Kaidyn in the Left eye and she has a nice little cut with some black and blue to add to it. So no pictures this week! lol

Toni called last night and her daughter was in labor and needed to go to the hospital. She isn't due till late Dec. She said they got them stopped for now. Toni.... keep an eye on her. She needs to keep that baby in for a couple of more months.

Brittany seems to be doing OK. She looks a bit tired. Braylon started walking at 9 months and keeping her busy as well as Kaidyn with all her activities. New baby comes in January!

Crissy and CJ are still playing the waiting game on when he is going to fly out and meet up with his ship. Jacob is loving soccer and Baylee is growing like a weed.

Jamie, Curt and kids are doing ok. Morgan and Jayson turn 6 next month! They love kindergarten. Kelsey is growing like a weed.

On the stitching front...I am doing a Britter Kitty Christmas Ornament. I started that while my lady was napping on Thurs. It is out of one of the Ornament books. I finished crocheting the yellow hat on the way down to Centerville, yesterday, just need to sew it together. I am also going to finish up putting fringe on Kaidyn's scarf and on the yellow scarf. As long as the kids play nice I can work on this stuff. We shall see.

This is the baby sampler that Brittany wants me to do for the new baby.

Have a great day stitching. huggerz laurel

A Christmas Ornament finish

Here is an ornament I finished today. Yahoo! It is a Lil' Britters by Brittercup Designs. I ordered the button yesterday so when that comes in I shall finish it up. It seems to take me forever to get a small ornament finished. I have been crocheting like crazy trying to get thing finished up! Once I feel like I am caught up with the crochet...need to make a couple more baby blankets and finish a hat, and try to kick out about 20 hats, then I will be caught up! I have lots of ornaments to totally finish before they can go on a tree. I have Morgan's afghan to start and finish. Then I have to start thinking about another baby sampler for my granddaughter. She is due in January! I have gotten a lot accomplished this year, and still have more to go! Where to begin? Have a clue.....get Morgan's afghan done right after I finish Annie's yellow hat! lol I have got to start using my time wisely. The Cavaliers are going to be starting their real season...so I will have a bit of distraction in the evening. I go to bed at 9PM and get up around 5:15...If I didn't have to sleep I would stitch all night. I know I am not the only one that feels like they are not getting anything done! lol Well enough of my ramblings...need to stitch...have a great night stitching. huggerz laurel

True or false

New Wine for Seniors

California vintners in the Napa Valley area, which
primarily produce Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and Pinto Grigio wines, have developed a new hybrid grape
that acts as an anti-diuretic.

It is expected to reduce the number of trips older
people have make to the bathroom during the night.

The new wine will be marketed as..

PINO MORE

I heard it through the Grapevine!!!!!

Yes...I had to do this!

Have a great day stitching....laurel

Christmas tree skirt finish

I finished the second Christmas tree skirt just a few minutes ago! It is Dark green and wine and then plain wine colors. Both skirts take up the whole top of my queen size bed. I have some Christmas yarn left ...but not enough to do another skirt with. I will be saving a bit of money (I hope to anyway) for the after Christmas sales to buy some more Holiday yarn.

Then I put the football buttons on Kelsey's Cleveland Browns sweater. Jayson is holding it up fr me! If it cools down tonight she will wear it during the football game "Monday Night Footbal"!!!

And then this evening... I finished one of the Britty Kitty ornaments. The fabric you see it sitting on is the fabric I put on the back!

Well off to get my bag of yarn and cross stitch ready for tomorrow. My lady likes to take a nap in the afternoon and I like to have something quiet to do while she is napping. Have a great day stitching huggerz laurel

I came home from work yesterday......

and found this in my sink!.......

Daisy has been acting weird lately. She has a perfectly nice cat bed on Bethannie's bed and yet she sleeps in strange places. I have found her sleeping on my table and even on top of my stove and on the counter. That doesn't go with me! She is one strange cat. So I guess until she finds another place to sleep I will have to use the other bathroom to wash my hands! She is now laying on one of my white shirts I wear with my scrubs! Errrrrrr

Here is the sweater I finished for Baylee.

I put the buttons on sat, but didn't have a model so I used one of my rag dolls. It's a bit large for her so I should have used my large rag doll. LOL I would have used Hilary ...but she had an accident with a ball (I think, I wasn't home) and her head fell off! Hilary is my huge size 2 porcelain head, arms and legs doll! LOl I really need to get that head back on her. The nearest doll hospital is about 1 1/2 hours away! I just feel I need to take her and not ship her in a box with her head in her hands...thats just plain wrong! So someday when I get time and gas money, I will take her there myself.

For the past few days I have been working on another Christmas tree skirt. This one is for Brittany. Jamie is getting the red and white tree skirt. I told the girls if they NEED to get me anything for Christmas...just get me Walmart gift cards so I can do some after Christmas shopping in the Christmas dept. Christmas yarn!!!! Last year after Christmas I bought quite a few skeins. But I need more! I want to make 2 more tree skirts and all I have left is several white and odds and ends of green and red. Not enough to make another tree skirt. I refuse to pay full price for a small 3 ounce skein of yarn. I sure wish it can in one pound sizes! I will post a picture of it later when Bethannie comes home with the "good" camera! lol

Well I had better get going. I am off work today (not needed) so I am going to take my mom's car for the dreaded E-check and then stop at Pat Catans for floss for Toni. We are trying are darnedest to stay away from stitch shops since we both have enough stitching stuff to last 3 life times! I think Toni is trying to get 2 more stockings done this year! You go Toni! Toni has already stitched 7 stockings...check out her blog!
Have a great day stitcing laurel
