Baylee's Cleveland Indian dress

I finished Baylee's dress. Well I need to put the hem in, then it will be done. It ties at the shoulder. It turned out real cute and I am thinking a John Deere dress may have to be made. lol Have a great day stitching...that's where I am heading...to my stitch corner! laurel

Day 10 Little Progress on Baylee's stocking

I started to stitch the mouse that is on the stocking. Did not get too far, as I had Morgan overnight and she sure does talk a lot! She talks and I have to recount, she talks some more and then I need to recount! lol I hope to make up for it today when she goes home.

This morning Morgan and I are going to clean a bit. She is going to put toys away and wash the kitchen table and get the toys underneath the table for grandma. I guess I will finish the dishes and sweep floors. Housework...who invented it and why is it my job? It's like when I leave the house, the house says...lets mess us up? I have no clue as to where all the house dirt comes from. I know I am not cooking this weekend! Not in my stove, just nuking everything! Have a great day and a safe weekend laurel

Day 9 progress on Baylee's Christmas Stocking and Memorial Day Weekend

Wow, can you believe it...it is almost June? Where has all the time gone? Where has our Spring gone? We have yet to have spring, here, in Ohio. I haven't planted any flowers as of yet. It has been too cold to even think of planting annuals! My sunflower seeds have sprouted, and the corn...has not. Too darned cold! If my corn is to be "knee high by the 4Th of July, it had better hurry! My perennials look pretty good. I had to wear my winter slippers and my poncho around the house yesterday cause it was so chilly, and, I didn't want to turn the heat up! I didn't get warm till I started dinner. And...of course I smoked up the kitchen! Most have had something on the bottom of the stove. I had to disarm the smoke alarm. The kids know I am cooking when there is smoke in the house! Well enough of cooking, I hate it anyway. If it can't be nuked...I should not buy it! Today the sun is out...makes it look like it is warm out, but I know better. I think I may go buy some annuals this weekend and plant my big iron pot. I guess I should at least think spring!

Morgan will be staying over tonight. Jayson is spending the night with his great-grandma (on his dads side). Tomorrow the kids will be heading down to Brittanys to spend time with their dad...who is coming up from Tennessee. Not sure when they will all come back home to the cold north. I will stitch most of the weekend and do some cleaning.

Stitching News: I just had to put the face on my little angel. She is just as cute as she can be. I am thinking that if I stay home all weekend I can probably get this stocking done! Then I can start Braylon's stocking! I may even be able to stitch up the new baby's stocking! OOOPs there...now I am dreaming!

This is America's Memorial Day weekend! It is also Fleet Week in New Your! Please remember to pray for the soldiers that are in harms way and pray for their families. Remember our soldiers that have died for our country. Forever in my heart and always in my prayers...God Bless our Military! Stay safe, soldier. Laurel

Baylee's stocking Day 8 and graduation night

I didn't get much done on the stocking yesterday or last night. I did get the large star done and I did it in gold instead of the DMC floss it called for.

Morgan and Jayson, top left

Jayson and Morgan graduated from Pre-School last night. Jayson was his usual ham self and Morgan looked serious, as usual. I think while growing up, the way she has had to, she lost out on how to laugh and have fun. Here are a few pictures of the kids! I am so proud of them. Jamie was crying at the end. I asked her why she was crying the kids will both be in kindergarten in the fall...she said "yes, but they are only going half days"! Good grief, she cries about everything! lol
have a great day stitching and could someone please order a little sun shine and warm weather? laurel

Baylee's stotcking, Day 7

I am just loving this chart! Just wished I had tons of time to stitch. I had an interview today and I guess it went well. But, then I also thought all the others went well too. lol Not much to talk about today. The kids graduate tonight and they are starting at the tallest to the shortest...well Jayson and Morgan are the 2 tallest in the class! Have no clue as to where they got their height from.
have a great day stitching laurel

Baylee's Stocking day 6

Lots of stitching progress to show. I stitched most of the evening. This stocking is supposed to be 16 inches long, somehow it seems to look larger then that! I need to go buy a blue metallic thread (Treasure Braid) for the angel wings, I did not see it was needed until now. I will probably look for it on the net. Going to a cross stitch store can be a disaster just wanting to happen (to my bank account)!

Today the weather is cool, 54 degrees! At least the sun is out and it looks warm outside. I wish I had a huge patio door on the East side to let the sun in. I would just curl up with my stitching and bake in the sun's rays! My bones would be warm and I would feel great! Morgan is here today and playing with the crochet squares. Tomorrow night Morgan and Jayson graduate from pre-school! It is off to kindergarten this fall for them. Jamie is having them put in separate classes. I can't believe that they are 5 and going to school already!

Well off for now. Time for lunch. Huggerz and stitching laurel

Hey TONI...what are you stitching on today?

Baylee's Christmas Stocking WIP day 5

Here are the results of Day 4 on Baylee's Christmas Stocking. I got a lot done yesterday on the stocking, and I totally framed Morgans sampler as well as painted a few frames! A good, all-around, stitching and craft day!

Now as far as the Cavs...they are done for the year...boo-hiss...! I am not happy, to say the least!

CJ's ship left out again this morning. He just got back in Thurs. He had been out on ship for about a month. I feel bad for the kids, they miss their daddy and Chrissy is both mom and dad while he is away. Huggers and love to Chriss and the kids.

Today the sun is out...yes! But it is cold out. The furnace kept coming on last night so I am guessing it was cooler last night. What happened to SPRING? I am afraid we will be missing the spring and going straight into summer!

Well off for now need to get some things done. have a great day! huggerz laurel

A little progress on the Christmas Stocking for Baylee.....day 3

The face is now done. Isn't she just beautiful! I plan on stitching a lot today...at least I hope to.

I just framed Morgan's sampler and I need to put glass on this one. Morgan will have it all stained from touching. So tomorrow I will check on glass. My daughter has asked me if I could do another Sampler like Morgan's for her sister-in-law's baby girl, that is due in August. Of course I said yes. Brian's mom does not stitch, can you believe that? Someone that does not stitch or craft and make things for the kids? My kids are so spoiled! They do crafts and have tried stitching....and eventually they will be stitchers, I know they will, cause, it is in their blood! My kids know that they can come into my home and ask for any cross stitch picture on my wall that they would like to have on their wall, and they can have it. I will make another one to put it it's place. lol I love that. My daughter-in-law is a stitcher...she made me a beautiful piece for my wall and I dearly love it! I am trying to get her to take it and hang it in Baylee's room, but she won't. So when I am gone...she had better take the piece back and hang it in Baylee's room! lol Well off for now. Morgan is here for a few hours, so I can't stitch without loosing my place, so I will paint some frames. have a great day stitching. huggerz laurel
