Finished 2 of my finishes

I think that makes sense. I have had these 2 done for my daughter and son-in-law and they have been waiting to be framed. Well this weekend I decided to make them into pin keeps, so that I can get them out of my "to finish" box! I figured this would be the cheaper way to finish them cause frames are costing way too much now-a-days! I also have many more UN-framed finishes that I need to find a different way to finish them and get them on the walls! When I got done at the VFW...I got roped into babysitting! Well off to feed the baby! lol huggers and no stitching tonight. laurel

Finished! Christmas Ornament SAL for Feb

Here is the finished ornament! This is for the Christmas Ornament SAL. It sure is amazing as to how much a person can stitch, while watching Cinderella 6 times today! Had Kaidyn not fallen asleep during the last one, we would be watching it the seventh time. How many times can a 3 year old watch Cinderella? I have no clue...but I am sure if my daughter Jamie hadn't had come and got her for a few hours today...it would have been more then 10 times! lol Got to love kids!

Tomorrow I will be helping with a VFW dinner, so when I get home I will be searching for a House to stitch for the Bride's Tree SAL (one ornament per month). Then I will get started on that this weekend. Have a great night ...huggerz laurel

Progress!

I made some progress on my ornament yesterday. In between watching Cinderella 2 times and Care Bears, clueless to how many times! lol I also got "Best Dad and Best Mom" nearly done. I decided to finish them like a pin keep but they will hang on the wall. They are for Brittany and Brian, and have been waiting to be framed! I also have a "Dear Santa, we have cookies" that I am going to finish as a flat fold free standing picture. Brittany and Brian should be in late tonight for the weekend and of course to pick up Kaidyn. Poor Brittany has never been away from Kaidyn except to give birth to Braylon, and this has been pretty hard on her. I was very surprised that she actually let Kaidyn come home with me, as they live 3 1/2 hours away from me! She is not going to be happy because I haven't got the Baby Sampler framed! hummmm...maybe I should work on that today. have a great day stitching. huggerz laurel

Started my second Christmas Ornament yesterday

I started my second Christmas Ornament SAL yesterday. Did pretty good on it, considering, I have my 3 year old, Kaidyn, visiting for the week. Where do they get all that energy? lol Huggers and stitches. laurel

Pin Keep Finished

I finished this last night after Kaidyn went to bed. Just have to add pins. I keep 3 Christmas trees up all year. As I finish my ornaments I hang them on my tree. When Christmas gets here...I end up giving most of them away. Have a great day stitching Laurel

Nothing much going on here.......

I brought Kaidyn home with me on Monday. Her mom and dad will come and get her on SAT. She has been so good. She is 3 years old now and going on 15. When she wole up this morning she said "I don't want to stay here forever, I miss my family"! She is just so grown up for 3. Tomorrow we are getting out the play dough. The last couple days she has been playing with Barbies! Her Aunties spoil her rotten!
I did get the pinkeep put together. The trim was just glued on and I guess I really need to go and buy some fancy PINS to stitck into it.
I also went to the knee doctor....and of course...there is nothing else I can do but replace the darned thing. I told him I had fallen and hurt my back and would be going in for a back appointment, he was worried that I may have hurt the left knee that he replaced 3 years ago. I think it is doing ok...my foot isn't facing backwards ar anything! So thats it for today! Have a great evening stitching and stay warm! huggers from cold Ohio laurel

Christmas Ornament SAL

Here is my first Christmas Ornament for 2008. I will be putting the date on the back when I put it together. I am thinking of finishing it like a pin keep. Not sure yet. I started it yesterday and it is now done! Now I need to work find a chart to do one for Feb. This is for the Christmas Ornament SAL that I joined a bit late for this year, where, you do an ornament a month. I want to do all my ornaments in red stitching. This one was done with DMC 349. Not sure if I will stitck with that red or not. Well back to searching for a chart and I need to finish Morgan's sampler. Have a great night. Stay warm and safe. huggerz laurel

Did some stitching this weekend!

But not a whole lot got done! I have been down in Xenia, Ohio visiting my youngest daughter and family. Braylon and Kaidyn are growing like weeds! I worked on Morgan's Sampler and made a couple of camera bags. Those are crochet. Heading back to the cold North Coast in a few hours! have a great day stitching huggerz laurel
