August 1...where has the time gone?

This is Baylee's 9 month picture! She is growing up fast!

Well here we are....less then 5 months till the stockings are hung. If you haven't already started some Christmas stitching...NOW would be a great time. I have been stitching Christmas things all year. If I am not stitching on snowmen...I am stitching ornaments. I do stitch an occasional baby sampler, Americana flag, or some quick saying for my wall. I also crochet all year long doing baby blankets and hats for Genesis House. But my main thing is Christmas. I love Christmas and what it means. The grand kids love Christmas for the presents....but as they grow they will also learn to love the reason for the season...Jesus! So with that said...lady's...START YOUR NEEDLES......it is now time to Stitch ALL THINGS CHRISTMAS! .

Happinings: Brittany and the kids will be coming today to visit till next Tues or Wed. She is giving her sister-in-law a baby shower tomorrow. I will be watching all the kids....it's Grandma Day! I will not be getting any stitching done with Braylon on the loose. We will be visiting Stephanie on Monday and finishing off the baskets.
Happinings: Jamie fell this morning at 4AM. She has a very bad ankel and fell down a few steps...WITH THE BABY! She didn't drop Kelsey and she is fine...but Jamie did hurt her hip and cut her elbow open. I am waiting to see how she is. I brought Jayson and Morgan home last night to spend the night so she could sleep in....Kelsey and Morgan both have doctors appointments this morning. I know Kelsey will be checked over real good.

Today was a funny day!

I went to work ... While at work I dropped a paper and leaned over to pick it up and tipped the chair over and fell to the floor! lol Good grief...now trying to get up when you can not kneel on the knees was not easy. I grabbed the leg of a co-worker (much to her surprise) to pull myself up on one knee that was replaced and that hurt like heck. The skinniest lady in the office was trying to help me up...I think she thought she could lift me by my arms! Poor thing, I told her that I needed something a little bit more solid than the other lady's leg so I reached for the arm of her chair. I got myself almost pulled up and both feet were tangled in the cords to my headset and the lady that was next to me! It's hard to shake off cords when you are nearly lying in someones lap almost face down! But I managed to stand up and put my chair back and sit down again! LOL Great impressions last a long time. I am glad this day is over!
Now on the brighter more happier side....I started Kelsey's Christmas Stocking last night. Thought I would show a little bit of progress. It is a Bent Creek stocking.
I can't wait to get it done! Christmas is 5 months away! Hey Toni.....whats happening? have a great day stitching huggerz laurel

We got alot done today!

I helped finish off a basket and we started 3 more. We now have 4 completed baskets, one basket that needs to have the rim lashed on and the last basket is partially woven! What a great day we had! The kids played pretty good together and Steve watched the twins and Maylee slept some and between the 3 of us...we managed to keep her happy! If someone wasn't weaving it was because they had a baby in their arms!

It's raining! Making baskets today!

I will be posting pictures later. I am getting ready to go make baskets today and trying to remember the #6 round reed and 1/2 inch flat and 1/2 inch flat oval. I know ...make a list! It is raining and Steve can't roof so he is designated to watch the twins! Will be back later. huggerz laurel
PS: I finished Kaidyn's afghan blanket last night.

Thank you Toni!

Just when you think you're going to have a blue day.....the mail comes and brightens it all up! Thank you Toni for making my day brighter! Look at all the goodies she sent me! 3 wonderful charts and 3 adorable magnets! I am so lucky to have a friend like you. You ENABLE me! huggerz laurel

Sundays accomplishments

On Sunday I finally got to finishing off the baby burp cloths, all 26 of them. This took about 2 hours! I need a dozen girl cloths for this weekend for a baby shower. Then I just crocheted. The afghan is 34 inches across now. I think when I get to 40 to 42 inches I may finish it off. This afghan is for Kaidyn to sleep with so her baby blanket I made her can be put away for her future little ones. Grandma may not be around to make new blankets!

Well have a great day stitching. I am going to do some mending before I put the sewing machine away. I need to do a few dishes up and maybe fire up the carpet cleaner. Big ideas in the morning...I will most likely stitch! LOL I have another stocking to make! huggerz laurel

Morgan's Stocking is finished!

Well the cross stitch part is finished. I just have to get it turned into a stocking along with the rest of the stockings! I need to search for Christmas fabric to go with the stockings. I am going to crochet for the rest of the day and then tomorrow I will start the Snowman Swirl by Bent Creek for Kelsey.
I also need to chart out Kelsey's name and stats and put that on her sampler and get it framed. I even found a frame that it will fit into.

I got my dishes done today...all of them! lol and swept my floors.....all of them too! Yahoo! It's nap time and crochet time! Have a great day stitching. Huggerz Laurel
