I just had to put this in here! Old Lady Joke!

A tour bus driver is driving with a bus load of seniors down a highway when he is tapped on his shoulder by a little old lady. She offers him a handful of peanuts, which he gratefully munches up.

After about 15 minutes, she taps him on his shoulder again, and she hands him another handful of peanuts.

She repeats this gesture about five more times.

When she is about to hand him another batch again, he asks the little old lady, 'Why don't you eat the peanuts yourself?'

'We can't chew them because we have no teeth,' she replied.

The puzzled driver asks, 'Why do you buy them then?'

The old lady replied, 'We just love the chocolate around them.'

I prefer all chocolate...no nuts. Have a great day stitching! LOL huggerz laurel

Baylee's sweater finish

I finished Baylee's sweater this morning. I need to get the buttons and sew them on! Maybe tomorrow after work I will have time to stop at the store. I am working on a scarf out of the same yarn and I will be finishing up the yellow scarf (fringe) this week. Then, I think I will finish all the ornaments I stitched, before I start Morgan's afghan. Have a great night stitching. laurel

Home again

I had a wonderful visit with my son and his family. Baylee is pretty much walking and got tons of clothes for her first birthday....and, Jacob is just the sweetest 3 1/2 year old little boy...who loves soccer and me-maws Browns Football blanket! I finished a yellow scarf (still needs fringe) and started a sweater for Baylee in the Berdet Neapolitan yarn. I got as far as I could on the sweater (forgot needle to sew it together) , so I started on another scarf. I got about 2 1/2 feet done on the ride home. I crochet the yellow one on the way to VA and finished it there. I kind of like having my daughter drive...so I could get some crafting done. Thanks Bethannie! LOL

This morning I put the buttons on Kelsey's sweater. Baylee's sweater will look like this, just a bit larger. Well off to get some things done. I need to babysit Jayson and Morgan for a couple of hours tonight. Need to pack my craft bag...cause as soon as 8PM rolls around they are off to bed and I will be working on a scarf! Baylee is 1 years old 10-4-08

Happy Birthday Baylee!!! LOVE YOU!

I will be heading home in the morning. Bethannie and I came down to see CJ and to be with Baylee on her first birthday! It is a short trip but a fun one. CJ will be heading out to his ship sometime real soon and we wanted to say "see ya later" before he left. He will be back in 6 - 7 months. It's never gets any easier saying "see ya Later". His knee is still a bit sore, but, he will get through it.

Let me eat CAKE! And...she did!
