I have stitched on this baby sampler for 8 days! I am thinking I will have it done this weekend. I will stitch the baby info in July! I can actually start looking for a frame and hope that Pat Catans will have what I need. If not...I will order a frame from Lori in VA. I love her frames and her prices!
Speaking of Pat Catans, my daughter-in-law gave me a $50.00 gift certificate, from there, for Mother's Day! Thank you so much Chrissy...love you guys! Then my daughter gave me a Yankee Candle in my favorite flavor, Buttercream, Since I am diabetic I can't have the sugar, but, I sure can surround me with the smell of it! Thank you Bethannie, love you!
Today is my 1/2 birthday! I kept telling my kids that my 1/2 birthday was coming up and they just laughed at me! I figure that after 50 years, we should be able to have 1/2 birthdays....you never know if you are going to make it to the real birthday and besides, I like presents!!!!! lol With me having so many health issues I figured a 1/2 birthday would be great!!! Well better luck next year...if I am still kicking! lol Now I can remind them of my real birthday coming up in November!
Let see...yesterday ...Morgan played with the sidewalk chalk and I planted sunflower seeds and old corn seed. I do hope they both come up! I plant the corn so I can have corn stalks in the fall. If it doesn't come up, Bethannie will get me some from Charlie's fields. As of Monday they had planted 300 acres of corn. I don't think they are done yet! I know he is out in the fields as I write this. A farmer does not get much sleep during planting season and harvest season! Monday evening when I was over there, he was going out to the field to pick up rocks with some kind of machine. In the old days, my sister and brother and I would follow my grandpa, who was on a tractor pulling a wagon, and picked up rocks out of the field. One good rock in the field can really bust up machinery when it is hit! Well enough for now. Have a great day stitching and crafting! laurel
