Farm pictures

Today Lily had her surgery. Lily is now 6 months old! They removed 2 skin tags by both of her ears. She did good today, and even had a smile for me-maw when she came home. I stayed home from school to put Jayson and Morgan on the bus and watch Kelsey. I spent the night at Jamie's house and was up after midnight doing school work. I can tell you one thing...school work is really cutting into my stitching! I have to get back to stitching. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make more time to do this. I wish there was a car that could drive itself...cause that is probably the only place I can pull extra time from.

Sat I went over to my mom's house to give her a bath. My mom still lives on the family farm where I grew up. She wanted to look for something upstairs. I am not a fan of steep stairs so I went up with her. This is what I found in a corner of my old bedroom........Christmas! See the old beams? They are the original beams in the house that were covered by lath slats and plaster. When remodeling the upstairs they decided to let the beams show...so in the other 2 bedrooms and bathroom...the beams are showing...giving a real old country look to the rooms. My mom and my nephew on the old barn sided porch....I spent a lot of time rocking on this porch!
One of the old chicken barns. We had thousands of chickens in four barns and my parents sold eggs.

I loved growing up on the this farm and have tons of memories. Years ago I had my own snow-mobile....Ski-doo...and this snow wood not have been wasted! It would have been rode on! There is a huge pond to the right of this barn where we ice skated all winter long and had bon fires at night. The barn sided porch still has ice skate marks in the floor...sometimes when running for the bathroom there just wasn't time to take off the skates or put on the blade guards! Mom would be screaming at us...but that fell on deaf ears!

My nephew and my old reliable (somewhat) Saturn! I love my car! At the top of the picture you can see the dock and the slide in the pond. The snow pictures were taken on Valentines Day!

Well enough talking about the past. I have to seriously get busy on stitching! Next cross stitch piece is "Always kiss me goodnight" by Glory Bee. Have a great night. huggerz laurel

Baby things for Baylee's babies

Baylee needed some things for her little babies and webkinz. So...grandma found some cute flannel fabric and made her a few pillows and blankets and a little sleeping bag with a built in pillow...that is perfect for a baby Google! I hope she has as much fun playing with them as I had making them! Oh yea...the black is Salen and he stays in OHIO. He just has to see what grandma made....I really think that he thinks...the baby stuff is for him. That darn CAT! LOL
