3 Peace Angels ready to finish

Well I have finished the 3rd Peace Angel and have one more to go. These are the ornaments I am doing for the granddaughters. I haven't picked out the ones for the boys. The 2 Angels that are done with the dark blue Peace are 2 1/4 inches long. and about 2 inches wide, done on 18 count. The other one done in gold is on 14 count and just a bit bigger. have a great day stitching. I am now starting the Angel Stocking...if I don't fall asleep...I just might get some stitching done today! lol huggerz laurel http://www.tiag.com/otherproducts/xmasangels.html

Sat morning...I think

I am really tired. I wasn't paying attention to the time .... and it was 2:15AM in the morning before I went to bed! I am dragging this morning. Last night was a good night. Bethannie's friend came over to learn how to crochet! So she learned the chain stitch, single crochet, have crochet and a double crochet! When she finally put it down ...she had done about a 6 inch by 9 inch piece. Nice start on a scarf. Then the 2 girls went for Tacos and came back to eat. Jennifer had gotten here around 4:30PM and left around 11PM. When Jennifer left...Bethannie headed out to Charlies for the weekend. Jennifer is Charlies cousin. When I was on the phone talking to Toni...I overheard Bethannie thank Jennifer for "hanging out with her mom"! After the girls left...I worked on the Peace Angel ornament and almost finished it. I should have finished it....I would have finished it...but..there sat that Mary Higgins Clark book.."On the Street Where You Live"..calling me....so I started reading it...and then boom it was 2:15 in the morning! I think it is going to have to be finished before I can stitch! lol I really want to work (start) on the stockings! We shall see what this day holds for me. I already called to have Morgan come over to play with the crochet squares and I made 2 last night to add to the collection! She really likes them...she likes them so much that she told Jamie that when I die.....she gets to keep the squares! Hold on little Morgan.....I am taking them with me! lol

Earlier Jamie came over with Kelsey...so there wasn't much crocheting done...it was baby holding time! When Kelsey was born she weighed 6#, 7oz..when she left the hospital she weighed 6pounds. She went to her first doctors appointment and she now weighs 6# 10oz and grew 1 inch. Shoot...she still looks tiny to me!

OH YES...the 2 job interviews went well....they always seem to go well.....so why am I still on VACATION? Who knows....could it be discrimination? Am I too old, and ugly to fit in with all the cutsie girls? Am I to be put out to pasture at a 1/2 century old? I only have and Associates Degree in Business....do I need to go back for a Bachelors Degree. What the heck is going on? Maybe I need to go to another country and work there. I certainly know how to live on LITTLE of NOTHING! OH well I will enjoy what I have and just stitch my stress away. have a gret day stitching today...I see a nap in my future! huggerz laurel

My next 2 projects

I finally got the fabric for my next 2 projects. It is Betsy Ross Lambswool 10 count. I am going to do 2 more Christmas stockings for Kelsey and Morgan. Jamie wants the Bent Creek Snowman for Kelsey and the Lizzie Kate Angel for Morgan. I had gotten some fabric off e-bay ...but it was way to dark for the stockings and I just didn't like it after I got it. Some things that I need to finish are: Kelseys baby sampler...needs her name and stats, ABC Christmas Sampler needs to have the back stitching finished, finish 2 baby blankets, and more Christmas ornaments! I also need to stitch Curt a stocking. I almost finished my third Told in the Garden Peace Angel Christmas Ornament last night. But saw this book in Bethannie's room and thought it needed to be read. NOT A GOOD THING! lol After reading all this...I guess my thinking I was pretty much caught up with everything...went down the drain! lol Guess I had better get to stitching, put the book down, and get off this computer! OH YES and most important...I have started crocheting hats for Genesis House!!!! That is a MUST DO! Have a great day stitching laurel

PS: Today kelsey is going to her first doctors appointment....I sure hope she is gaining weight!

Home Sweet Home................

My bed, my TV, MY Ice Cream, my bed!!!!!!!!!!!! Like I have said before...if I were allowed to marry my bed...I would. It is my best friend, gives me comfort through night and day, doesn't care if I drop cracker crumbs, or if sleep the opposite way, and....it doesn't grumble if I add a few pounds! I love my bed!!! Oh yes and I love my pillows too! LOL Anyway..... I am home from Xenia. Had a great visit with Kaidyn and Braylon, Brittany and Brian. Brian left last night, to work the rest of the week in New York and Jersey. I think he will be home Sunday....maybe. Braylon is crawling and sitting up by himself. He is so fast that of all the pictures I took, except for the one posted here, were blurry! I took Morgan with me so Jamie could just have the baby to care for. She had a c-section...but seems to be doing OK. Just wait till she runs out of pain pills and we will see how she deals with it. Kelsey is just a tiny bundle of joy. Finally got a picture of her with her eyes open.Newborn clothes are too big for her. She goes to the doctor Friday...we will see how much she has gained. She had lost 6 ounces before she came home from the hospital.

While I was there I stitched a "told in the Garden" Peace Angel, and started another one for Christmas ornaments (for the granddaughters). I also worked on the pink and white granny square baby blanket. I still have a ways to go on that. Well off for now. Need to get to stitching. huggerz laurel

Baby blanket finish

I finished the baby blanket for a boy. I started it the day Kelsey was born. it is a 39 inch by 39 inch granny square! Now...who is going to have a boy? I still have to finish the pink and white granny square blanket this week. Now I am going to do a few Christmas Ornaments for a change in pace. Here are some pictures of Kelsey she is sound to sleep!

Jamie came over to visit this morning while Curt worked on a car. Morgan went home with them yesterday to give me-maw a break. I am guessing she did ok. I will go get her tomorrow so Jamie can have a break.
