ABC Christmas Sampler WIP

I have been working on the Christmas Sampler for the past couple of days. It really needs to be done this year so I can start my forth Christmas Sampler for Jamie.
This sampler is the one Brittany picked out. I have some other patterns in mind for Jamie's picture. The first picture is where I left off in April.

This is what I have done the last couple days................

I need to order some 10 count stocking material, enough for 2 stockings. The material I got off e-bay is really dark and won't work for the stockings I have in mind. So until I get the material ordered I will work on the ABC Christmas Sampler. I have lots of back stitching to do and then I need to add the beads!
Toni....I love the stockings you have done so far! I am jealous!! Your needle is smokin'!!!!!! have a great day stitching huggerz laurel

Fleet Week---I love this man in uniform!

On top of the world and not looking! lol

I thought I would post a few pictures of my son when he was in New York with his ship during Fleet Week at the end of May. He had a great time going to a ball game at Yankee Stadium and visiting VFW's, and being in parades. He also visited many other places while there. Being afraid of heights...his friends got him to go up in the Empire State Building! I have no clue as to where his fear of height thing comes from. It sure didn't come from me (mom), I don't care to fly...but I sure did like to parachute when I was younger! There is one picture of his ship taken from the ferry. He has been in since 1997 and has been on 2 tours...the next one will be this fall sometime. have a great day huggerz laurel

Pumpkin Finish!

Hot off the NEEDLE! Another one bites the dust! Now I need to decide which stocking chart to stitch next. I think I will be stitching ALL THINGS CHRISTMAS for the rest of the year!

Today was a great day...I met up with Toni at "Just Stitching" in Strongsville to go STASH shopping. Yea...like we both need more stash! lol From there we went to the "Crafty EWE". I didn't break the bank either! I bought a Lizzie Kate, June block at Just Stitching. Then I bought a snowman chart, 2 Lizzie Kate doubles (last 4 words) and some fabric! We ate out at Applebees and we both went home happy and somewhat broke! I figure if I am going to be broke...I am going to be happy stitching! Have a great day stitching. huggerz laurel

Pumpkin WIP

I sure didn't get the pumpkin done this weekend, like I thought I would! I painted some frames and then sprayed them with a MATT finish and framed a couple pieces. Morgans sampler was totally done and framed and it is now on the way to Morgan's room. I framed a snowman and packed a box up for Chrissy (was sent out this AM).

I put the buttons on Braylon's stocking and just looked at the 26 baby burp cloths that have to be ziz zaged around! lol Jayson spent 2 days with me and his other grandma and grandpa picked him up this AM to go to the ZOO! He likes grandmas cause we have ice cream for lunch instead of standard stuff! Then when we have a snack he has a sandwich. Grandma doesn't make him take a nap (even thou grandma needs one)!
Have a great day stitching! huggerz laurel
