Ornament square finished

Today I finished the ornament square on the ABC Christmas Sampler. I did it between visiting my nieces and holding the twins, Braylon and our newest Maylee. I also did a big no-no...I FORGOT MY CAMERA! It was a real nice day so all the kids played outside I think there were 4-5yr old, 3-3 year old, 2-2 year old, the twins- 9months, Braylon-4 months and Maylee-born April 3rd. Good Grief...there sure were lots of kids! It sure was a nice day. Have a great day stitching! Laurel

Nutcracker photo

I tried to post these pictures last night, the computer kept saying it was an Internal Problem. So here is the update of the Nutcracker. I still have a lot of back stitching to do. I will probably do the rest of the back stitching when I am completely done with the squares.
The other picture is of course the burp cloths...they are just too darn cute to wipe up messes! lol
have a great sunny day. Laurel

Finished the Nutcracker tonight!

I finished the Nutcracker tonight while watching the ball game. I started to do a bit more on the ornament block too. I cut out 16 burp clothes today and sewed them together and turned them. Tomorrow I will ziz-zag around the outside edges. I think I am going to hit the hay early tonight. I finished the book last night and really don't think I can do two late nights this week, or any week! lol I am too old to burn the candle at both ends!
Have a great night....I am off to meet up with Mr. Sandman! huggerz laurel

Some progress today

I worked on some baby burp cloths and made a pair of ladybug shorts today. I need to hem them and put in the elastic for the waistband. Have no clue if they are too big for Baylee. If they are .... she will grow into them in time. lol I also worked on the ABC Christmas Sampler. While I was stitching on the Nutcracker I realized that the chart had added an extra "C" to it. Glad I was paying attention or I would be ripping out stitches!!!! But I still didn't get far on that.... as I was watching a Indians game. There are 2 games on tonight the last home game for the Cavs and an Indians game. I will be going back between the 2 of them...I still hope to get some stitching done! lol

Today it was just beautiful out....lots of sunshine. I sure wish I was a lizard on a sunny rock with nothing to do! Have a wonderful blessed day. Laurel

ABC Christmas Sampler WIP

Today was a good day. I have been looking for this sampler for about 6 months. I have been looking high and low for it. I guess I needed to look behind and lower instead! So now I have something to work at in-between all my other things. This sampler is for my daughter Brittany. She picked it out a couple years ago. I ordered the material I need for the 2 Christmas stockings today, so I will work on the ABC while waiting for the material. I framed Jacob's sampler and I need to find a box to send that to him, along with his sippy cup and a couple of things that got left behind. I then cut out 14 more burp cloths and have them half sewn. Just need to turn them and then zig-zag the edges. So now I need to get going and re-pull the threads for the ABC. Have a great day. Laurel
OH Yeah...this sampler has tons of beading that goes on it!!!

March Ornament is finished

March ornament is finished....

Jayson getting ready to stuff his pillow.....

Pillow is finished! Great job Jayson!

I finished the March ornament for the Bride's Tree Ornament SAL late last night. I have Jan. to do and then I will start the Christmas Stockings for Baylee and Braylon. I also need to get going on a baby sampler for the baby due in July.

Jayson spent the night last night and helped me a bit. I found a Winnie the Pooh wall hanging that I had made for his wall when he was a baby. I asked Jamie if she wanted it for the baby's room and she said no. Jayson said he wanted to keep it so I took out a little bit of stitching and had him stuff it. Now he has a pillow!
Have a great day stitching. laurel

Yummy flannel fabric!

Look what Bethannie bought me! I just love them. I found the dark blue and star flannel in my stash and the 2 blues that are tied together were also in the closet. But the firefly, ladybugs and tiny hearts all came from Bethannie. I am going to make some more burp cloths for Braylon, Baylee, Maylee, the twins, Layken and Landon, and the new babies due in July and August!

I worked on the March Bride's Tree Ornament last night and didn't quite get it finished. I will work on it later tonight. Jayson is coming to spend the night with me. He was at his dad's all weekend and he has preschool today, so he will stay with me tonight. Tomorrow he goes to his dads for a few hours and after that He and Morgan get signed up for Kindergarten. I can't believe how fast they grow up. Jamie decided to go back to work a few hours a week. She is due in July.

Well off to check out the want ads in the paper. Maybe I will find something today. The swelling in my toe went down and now I can put on a real shoe! hugs and stitches laurel

February, Bride's Tree Ornament SAL and SNOW

I did this ornament last night. This is my February ornament. I didn't stitch the little flowers it had on it, just the heart. This is from The Prairie Schooler, Designer Series, done on 18 count Fiddlers. I am now working on the March ornament, trying to catch up before I start the babies Christmas Stockings.

We have rain right now in Ohio, they are saying it will turn to snow. OOOPS...it is now SNOWING! Where is SPRING? Who knows..... It will be our luck that we go from Winter right into Summer!

I had Morgan overnight. She played all evening with the box of crochet squares. I will stitch them together someday maybe after the kids grow up. The kids love to play with them and I kind of hate to sew them together too soon!
