Stitching in snowy OHIO

Well it is snowing hard outside here on the North Coast. It's nothing unusual because it is of course OHIO! As for me..I like the snow...but not all at once. A little bit everyday is just fine with me. My yard and driveway is so full of snowman parts I am thinking of having a sale!

On the stitching side. Here are the results of yesterday's stitching on the baby sampler. Looking pretty good if I must say so myself. Have a great snow/stitching day. huggerz laurel

Back to stitching on the baby sampler

Well I got the lady bug out of my system so I am back at stitching the baby sampler. I think it is coming along pretty good. Here is a WIP picture. I have been babysitting the last 2 nights and have tomorrow and sat morning to sit too and then this is my weekend to work....so...I may not get whole bunch of stitching time in.
I am trying to find another little project to sneak in. I think it may be a Christmas Ornament! LOL I just can't get too far away from stitching on Christmas...must be in my blood! Have a great day huggerz laurel

First Finish of 2009

Here is my first finish of 2009! A ladybug for my Baylee. I am going to make it into a little pillow...I think. I need to see what Chrissy thinks. Well off to bed! I am badly in need of my beauty sleep and sadly to say...am many years behind! Have a great night stitching. Huggerz laurel

Tuesday is: Icy Road Day

Wow...in Ohio if you wait 20 minutes the weather will change! This is so true. I had an icy drive home from work today! I think my knuckles are still white!

Today was Jayson and Morgans first day in their new school. They are going to the same school where I went all 12 years and where their mom went for 12 years. It is located in the middle of a corn field. They still have the "drive your tractor to school day"! It can't get any better then that! One of my classmates is the Secretary at their Elementary School.

On the way home today I went to Target ... they are having a good sale on some baby stuff and Brittany needed some more stuff for the baby that will be here at the end of the month. I found a ladybug crib sheet for Baylee and lots of fleece blankets on sale. If you live in the North, you can never have enough blankets!

On the stitching scene......this is how much I have done on the Ladybug chart. My plan is to stay off the computer and stitch most of the evening. I want to get this done so I can get back to the baby sampler. Have a great day stitching. Huggerz laurel

Monday, Monday

Today came too soon. I had a great weekend with Toni and her little Lizzy and Jingle Bells as my guests. We let the kids play while we stitched and went shopping. Then after Toni got home...she thought she would fall down the basement steps. She is hurting today and that big goose egg on her head is very tender. I sure hope you feel better...TONI. That should teach you to clean...you should have been stitching! LOL We had a good time and hope to do it again as soon as my granddaughter is born and all has calmed down

Today I was supposed to work on the baby sampler, but, got a bit sidetracked and started a fun little piece called Ladybug, Ladybug by Heart in Hand. I thought I needed something quick to start my year and this little bug is just a cute as a bug in a rug! This piece will be for Baylee. Her mom is really into ladybugs and her room is full of them little critters! When it is done I will return to the baby sampler. Have a great day stitching Laurel

Stitch shop finds...........

Here are the Webkinzs. Noel is mine and the other 2 are Toni's. We have been having lots of fun with our new pets! LOL Jingle Bells is not a Webkinz.

We went to the Crafty Ewe Sat. I got a couple pieces of fabric and a chart and Toni really went to town. She got thread for her Shepherds Bush stockings and some charts. The owner was getting rid of old DMC floss and #3 pearl cotton and since the price was right I got a lot! I was thinking the Brownie and girl Scout troops would like to make bracelets. I got a few for myself to try thread twisting. All the thread was free!

Well off for now. Need to stitch a bit on the Baby Sampler. I did not get much done yesterday! Have a great day stitching. laurel
