Memorial Progress

I got some stitching done yesterday. Not much, but, every stitch counts! I am hoping to get a lot done today. Just need to stay off the computer! Have a great day stitching!

Memorial piece

I had this started before the Baby Sampler. Now it is time to finish it. I stitched the words last night after the Blue Star meeting. This is for one of the ladies in our Chapter. She has a son that is serving in Iraq right now, and last year she lost her son that was in the Navy. She is now a Gold Star Mom and a Blue Star Mom. Huggerz, Prayers, and stitches laurel

Blue Stars Mothers: Chapter 26

Last night was my Blue Star Moms meeting. We had a swearing in of our President for this year. Then we sat down and tried meals (MRE) that our soldiers eat when they are out in the field in combat. They were not too bad... All in all it was a very good and informative meeting. We have several that are in Iraq and some some coming home and some in-between. Have done nothing today!

I can't believe that I have spent my time today listening to music and searching out new music for My Space page! I also set up another persons music play list for her space as well. No stitching today! I even took a bit of a nap. I have to have a stress test on Monday because my EKG did not do well. Good Grief...I am falling apart! I have a Blue Star Moms meeting tonight. We will be swearing in the Officers. I need to remember my camera! So I will not get to my stitching till after I get home tonight! I have another doctors appointment tomorrow in the afternoon. This one is for general well being....what ever that would be.....???!!! I will be back in the grove of stitching this evening and come the weekend my needle will not part from my fingers unless I loose it and it gets stuck in my foot! Have a great day stitching! Morgan's Sampler is finished!

I finished Morgan's sampler today. I need to add some sparkle to it (stars) and then find a frame or make it into a wall hanging. Not sure as to how to finish it yet. Morgan is my step-grand daughter. My daughter married her daddy last Sept. My daughter has a son, Jayson, who was born 11-17-2002. The kids are just like having twins in the house. A bit of stitching today

I did get a bit of stitching done today on Morgan's sampler. Not much, but every stitch counts! Have another doctors appointment tomorrow (heart), I plan on stitching some tomorrow and then stopping at Borders to pick up Britain's #1 CrossStitcher magazine. I sure hope they have one. I have to make a few more appointments, blood work , MRI, and a bone density scan. I guess my bones aren't as strong as they should be. Oh Well....huggerz and stitching. trying to stay warm in OHIO!

We have SNOW!

Finally we have snow...enough to write home about ...if you were living elsewhere! We haven't gotten enough snow this whole winter...till today. Maybe 7 or 8 inches already and it is still falling. My yard is a junkyard full of SNOWMAN PARTS! I love it! I had to cancel a doc appointment for this AM...but have 2 this afternoon for my back and hips and shoulders and feet. Guess when you get old, everything goes to heck in a hand basket. If there is too much snow, I may have to cancel and reschedule. I sure hope not! Well gotta go and clean off the car, if I can find it. have a great day stitching. laurel
