My Own Little World finish

I finished this yesterday! The chart is by "Designs By Lisa" and I stitched it on 16 count Aida. I started another Katidid chart yesterday evening. Its called "Give Thanks". I have had this one kitted up since last fall sometime. I have been waiting for some fabric I ordered for another Christmas stocking and I am hoping it will be here when I get home. I am visiting with Brittany and the kids. Well off to stitch. Huggerz laurel

Good day! A Katidid Finish!

I added snowflake buttons to Braylon's stocking, instead of stitching confetti stitches. I am still waiting for 2 buttons that I ordered from River Bend Stitchery (my local stitch shop). A candy cane and gingerbread man sit in the sleigh.

I finished the curtains for the last window today! Just have 3 dog neck scarves to do. I got my chart in the mail that I wanted and pulled the thread and cut the fabric. Wound some floss onto plastic bobbins. I really need to redo all my floss holders soon! I finished packing Chrissy and CJ's box, so I can send it out tomorrow. I put some cross stitch goodies (fabric and charts) in it for Chrissy. I also put in the ladybug buttons...they would look real cute on a ladybug/daisy chart that is in there.
I also finished this little piece last night. Not sure as to how I am going to finish it. The design is by Katidid.


Today was a pretty nice day. Curt even found time to put the struts on my car!

We had another huge thunderstorm come through at 4AM ...lots of lightning and thunder. We then had a short storm move through this afternoon. I wonder if we are in for some overnight? It sure did cool off this evening.

Well got to go...the Lakers and Celtics are going to start...I am betting on the Celtics!!! have a great night. laurel

I worked on the John Deere curtains Sat and got 2 1/2 windows done. Bethannie needed to buy more fabric for the last large window. I think I will do that window tomorrow! I also need to sew 3 John Deere scarves for the 3 dogs! He.....they gotta look good Sat, at the graduation party (pig roast)!


I finished Jacobs shorts tonight...finally got everything going the right way. Had to tear out seams a couple of times cause I sewed the wrong pieces together 2 times. I finally found the instructions and got them done the right way. You would think with all the shorts I have sewn...this pair would be a breeze! What a long day!
We had some bad storms earlier. They had tornado warnings out for the counties west of us. We had a lot of rain, lighting and thunder! They are calling for more storms tonight. Jamie and Curt and the kids have no electric because of the storms. She called the electric company and they said they hope to have the lines fixed by 5 AM! I sure hope their house had cooled off. Told her to bring the kids over if she wanted to. But...they were already in bed. They read their bedtime stories by flashlight! lol Well off for the night...need to unplug my appliances and TVs. I already lost a TV, Microwave, DVD player last year cause of storms and don't want to loose anymore! Have a great night and may it rain softly through the night! laurel

Finished 2 windows

Not a good day for sewing!

Yesterday was not a good day for sewing. I had cut out a pair of Cleveland Indians shorts for Jacob a couple weeks ago and was going to sew them together and found that I had the Indians upside down on one of the pieces. So...I cut out another one and sewed them together and saw that I had another one going the wrong way! So I put them down! This morning I cut another piece and I finally got it right! What a horrible waste of fabric! Any ideas as to what I should do with the wrong way pieces? lol What a day. I am almost afraid to sew them together...for fear that something else is upside down!
