Update on Ballet

This is how far I have gotten on my Hinzeit "Ballet". I hope to have it finished with charms on by end of week! This is going to be cute when framed. I have about 10 frames to order and I will be adding this one to the list. I really need to start sewing more and skip the hard frames! I found a cute Shabby frame on e-bay for Addison's birth sampler. I sure hope it will look okay in it. As for the next project...I have to look at my "to do" list and see what pops out at me. I have those Christmas stockings that need to be started! I need to get 2 Christmas Ornaments done!!!! HUMMMMMM Well off to get ready for work and if I have time I may just finish the dishes! Have a great day stitching. huggerz laurel

Another Hinzeit finish! And...Webkinz Land!

I finished the Christmas Hinzeit and have moved on to stitching the Ballet chart by Hinzeit. I just wish that the Hinzeit frames were cheaper than 36 dollars. Oh well they may end up as wall hangings or in cute little frames that I paint myself! Have a great day stitching.......Huggerz laurel

This is a picture of Jayson and Webkinz friends. They are all mine! Well actually they are for the grandkids for different occasions and loosing teeth. I hope I am set for the summer! Jayson is really in Webkinz Land!

Started a Christmas Hinzeit

I started this Christmas Hinzeit Monday and here is a picture of how far I have gotten. I hope to have it finished by the end of the week, charms and all. I won quite a few Hinzeits charts on E-bay so I need to get them stitched! This one will be for my wall, at least I am thinking it will be....who knows. I am getting together some other charts and materials so I can finish up one and start another.

Tonight Jayson will spen the night. I am sure that he will be in Webkinz world so I will be able to stitch all evening! LOL

A few things on my agenda is to weave up some baskets and make baby burp clothes for the new grandchild due in Sept. Well off to do some clean-up and wash.

I have 2 sailing frames to fill so the boys will get them as well, when I get to them. I still have to measure and get some frames ordered for the Ballerinas, Fishing and Addison's birth sampler. And I need to get the "I DO" framed for Jamie! So much to do and time just flies by!

Well the Cavaliers 4th game is about to start, so.....I have a date with the TV and a bag of cross stitching! Have a great day stitching. Huggerz laurel

The Eagle has landed and a Banner Finish!

Here is a picture of one of the Eagles that were outside a window where I work! I thought I was seeing things... and could not believe my eyes. I was told there were 5 of them around there a couple of young that haven't gotten their white head feathers! What a beautiful bird. I hope to get some more pictures of them before the trees get leaves.

Here is my Blue Star Banner! She is just beautiful! Thank you designer Katidid for such a wonderful chart! I can't wait to see what else you design for us in the near future. Hope to see you at the Crafty EWE!

NORFOLK

The return of the Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group will be delayed because of bad weather off the coast, the Navy says.

The guided-missile cruiser Monterey and the guided missile destroyers Mason and Nitze were scheduled to arrive in Norfolk today, but will arrive pierside on Saturday, said Lt. Courtney Hillson, spokeswoman for the U.S. Second Fleet.

The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt is still scheduled to arrive on time Saturday.

Commanded by Rear Adm. Frank Pandolfe, the carrier strike group also includes the guided-missile destroyer The Sullivans, the fast-combat support ship Supply and the attack submarine Springfield. The Springfield returned to its homeport in Connecticut in March. On Friday, the Supply will return to Naval Weapons Station Earle and on Saturday The Sullivans will return to its homeport in Mayport, Fla.

The carrier strike group is returning from its regularly scheduled seven-month deployment in support of maritime security operations in the U.S. Navy’s 5th, 6th and 7th Fleet areas of operations.

Yep...delayed because of weather...I am very glad I am not on the Tiger cruise! huggerzs and stitches laurel

Hello to all!

It has been awhile since I had the time to post. Here is what I have been up to. I finally got the floss in the mail, so I put Baylee's name on her sampler. While waiting for the floss, I started "the recipe for a snowman". This is how far I have gotten on that little pillow. I spent the weekend down in southern Ohio visiting my kids and grandchildren. Talk about being cold down there. I took my fleece jacket...but needed my winter coat!!! While down there it was snowing a bit and hailing in the North. I wonder when spring will physically arrive? So that's what I have been doing. What has everyone else been stitching? I know I will be stitching up a storm come Wednesday cause I only have 14 hours of scheduled work this week. I sure hope they find me some more. The greatest thing that happens while you are away is....the mail! My fabric came for my Christmas Stockings and so did some Hinzeit charts, I won on E-bay!!!! Waiting for floss....waiting for floss.........

I am a pretty patient person, but....when it comes to waiting for my mail to bring me my floss, I am pacing like a tiger behind zoo bars! All I want to do is stitch Baylee's name on! I am obsessed with getting it done! LOL If it doesn't get here today I won't be able to get the "ballerina" done till the weekend cause I have a 6am Thurs to 6am Friday, 24 hour, overnight job. I'm chomping at the bit! I got the names charted out last night, for all the granddaughters, for when I get their Ballerina's done. So here is to the fast pony (mail) hurry it up and get here soon! OH Yes, I did order enough floss to do 3 more Ballerinas, at least I hope I ordered enough! LOL Have a great day stitching. Huggers laurel

CHRISSY...........Just need the floss!

Now I just need the mail to bring me the floss! Then I will add Baylee's namew to this "Little Ballerina". huggerz laurel

God Bless our Military and their families!

Progress has been made!

Slow and steady as she goes........I have made progress on Baylee's ballerina! One rose and hair to go...and of course the name! Yes the name....I ran out of Poblano Pepper (green)! I am crushed...and the shop near me is going out of business and doesn't have any more Poblano Pepper! So Chrissy...I have to order some, enough to do Baylee's name and 2 more of these charts for Morgan and Kelsey. I am fuming! LOL So I will get everything done on it this week and hope that I can get some floss ASAP! Have a great day in stitching land...I need to visit webkinz land! Huggerz laurel

Beautiful OHIO!

What a beautiful day in Ohio. I am just so happy to see all the sunshine and the warmth it gives out! I guess no snow on St. Patty's Day this year!
I have bee working on Baylee's Ballerina and have made some progress. I wish I had stitched more last night, but Jayson spent the night and we played on the Webkinz site. I have been trying to teach him all the daily things he needs to do, so I was up and down from stitching. LOL I don't know who has more fun with the webkinz the kids or me! I know Toni loves them too and is getting her grand kids HOOKED on them! LOL Another huge problem with getting time to stitch.....I started reading a Danielle Steel book, and finished "Amazing Grace" and now reading "Rogue" I hope to quench my thirst of reading for the time being when I am done with "Rogue"

SUNDAY! First day of MARCH!

Where did January and February go? WOW Time sure does fly by. Today I went to Pat Catans and got some shinny red and yellow beads to replace the beads that came with the ABC Christmas Sampler. I sure hope they will look better. I think I will also do some french knots in place of some of the beads. I forgot to look for tiny jingle bells to put on the reindeer. Good excuse to go back to the store real soon! I got my dishes done and laundry done and I am actually starting to feel better. I have been so under the weather for a couple of weeks with old age aches and pains.

Tonight I started on Jamie and Curts wedding sampler "I Do" by Bent Creek. I have already done one for CJ and Chrissy and Brittany and Brian. I hope to get this done this week and then I will have to order some fabric for the "Little Ballerina" for Baylee. I will put the beads on the Christmas piece when I have a quiet evening at home.

Well off for now. I want to watch a bit of the Cavaliers game and then I am off to bed to start another week. Have a great night stitching! If you are in OHIO stay warm! It is real cold outside and the wind is horrible!

Happy Anniversary to CJ and Chrissy! 3-2-02 This year they are spending the day apart. He is off with the Navy somewhere.

God Bless our Military and their families. Amen huggerz laurel

Started the beading

I am not sure if I like the addition of beads. The beads are not too pretty. May end up putting something shinny and pretty on it instead...
what do you think? huggerz laurel

God Bless our Military and their families.

Finished the M

I finished the "M" block on the ABC Christmas Sampler today. I have washed/soaked the piece and it is now drying. I will press it tomorrow and then add the beads. I don't know how long that will take, but hope to have it done soon! I need to get to the stitch shop for fabric so I can start Little Ballerina for Baylee. I also need to pull the thread for "I DO" for Jamie and Curt. Well have a warm stitching night.
Ohio is again cold and snowy. huggerz laurel

Dear Chrissy.......Daisy hates me

This is Daisy:

No I don't need a cat! No, Never, Not Now, well maybe if Bethannie will clean out the litter box! Daisy hates me! The other day I locked her in the bathroom! I don't understand it. Well let me explain...I was putting my clothes in the washer and something fell. Something is always falling around here...sometime stuff and sometimes me! Well later I went back to put the clothes in the dryer and I kept hearing Daisy meow...I called her name and she just kept crying....I started the dryer and happened to look down and saw the little door on her litter box move! Holy COW...a little plastic box had fallen and blocked her little flapper door and she couldn't get out. Shoot fire.....I only locked her in the bathroom for a little while, maybe an hour, maybe less than an hour, can't remember for sure. Anyway ...she has been mad at me for a week and won't come near me. LOL Maybe she should have take a magazine in so she would have something to do! Anyway I thought the little cat sign was cute and reminded me of Toni...cause...she just brought home kitty number 3. So no cat for me, Bethannie would kill me! She would have to stand in line cause I think daisy is waiting to catch me off guard to hurt me!

Progress on the ABC Christmas Sampler....I am now back stitching on the last square "M". When that is done I will be able to add the beads.

ABC Christmas Sampler

I finished "T" and "N" ...next up S, M, U, and Y. I just want to get this done! Do you ever wonder who will finish your WIP's when you die? I figure I had better get to doing this sampler cause I don't have a clue as to who would want to finish mine! LOL Have a great day stitching. huggerz laurel

Stitching update!

Hummm lets see....I am still back stitching on the ABC Christmas Sampler. I have the letter's M,N,S,T,U,Y and I am going to start working on the letter N at the moment. The rest are done. After I get the back stitching done I will put the beads on it and it will be ready to frame. I am also charting out the name that goes on the Memorial piece.

This weekend I am going to go to a shop in Columbus with Toni. I sat down last night and wrote down all the charts that I want to do and the fabric I will need and special floss. Just about all the charts are Little House Needle works.

Some bad news: River Bend Stitchery is closing it's doors. That is sad. I was so excited to have a stitchery store close by...and now it will be gone.

well off for now...have to get busy on the back stitching. I just want to get this piece done so I can get started on a large Christmas piece #4 called Peppermint twist! Have a great night stitching. huggerz laurel

A good stitching week!

This has been an absolute great stitching week! I have just about finished the memorial (can't find my gold thread I use for the stars), and then decided to get working on the back stitching of the ABC Christmas sampler. Shoot...If I die ...who's going to finish it? So I am going to finish the back stitching and then add the beads and then give it to Brittany!
Well off for now...need to check on the kids (Webkinz) and stitch a bit. Have to work in the AM> Have a great night stitching! huggerz laurel

MoJo is back somewhat.....

I finished the "Little Ballerina" and put beads on the baby sampler. I then started another Memorial. So here is what I have been up too.

Then I found this little horse piece that I had stitched a long time ago...hoping to use it for a baby sampler, and here it is....still not used for a baby sampler. I think I will just put it in a little frame and hang it in my room! LOL well need to go unpack. I was down to Brittany's for the weekend to see the new baby (Addisyn) and my daughter_-in-law, Chrissy, Jacob and Baylee, and, Kaidyn and Braylon. Lots of kids and lots of noise. Jamie took Jayson, Morgan and Kelsey down there today and tomorrow they are going to take all 8 kids to get their picture taken...together...Lots of luck! Have a great night stitching
